The Ultimate Pirate Booty Ring

Rory came to BMS wanting to create a totally unique ring.

He’s a water loving plumber who surfs and has an interest in traditional sailor tattoo iconography. Wedding rings are often the only piece of jewellery some people wear, especially men so he wanted to go all out and create something that reflected his passions that he could treasure for a lifetime.

Bethany hand carved this ring in wax and collaborated with her tattoo artist partner to create the anchor and swallow detail. The ring was then cast into solid 9ct gold and set with a beautifully detailed Lapis Lazuli. There was a cracked inclusion in the stone so Bethany sealed it with 24ct gold leaf to add an extra special detail.
